This hotel is massive. Its comprises of 3 buildings and each building has its own public bath. And one of them has outdoor bath.
The room I booked has balcony but it was too chilly to sit outside.
Gym and swimming pool are also available but for ¥1,000 fee.
Dinner was not impressive but the hotel provided 2 different foods on each dinner during my 2-day stay. Breakfast spread was good but it is buffet style and it was busy and chaotic.
The best thing about this location it is very close to Gero station yet the hotel has pick ip and drop off service for every train schedules.

Luxury hotel with spacious and comfortable room. Walk along the river bank during sunset was fantastic. Just 2 bus stops to the famous Gifu park.
However, the location is more suitable for people driving cars. Not convinient to find resetaurants near by.

Exceptional accommodation and service!
My husband and I purely enjoyed our time at Yunoshimakan. We had a room with private open air bath because of my tattoos (so public bath wasn’t an option), and it was 100% worth its price.
Kaiseki dinner was excellent, the buildings are adorable, we couldn’t wish a better service.
Before coming, I thought that more than 1 day at onsen is waste of time — and totally regret the hadn’t made a choice to stay for a longer time.
My advice: order a taxi or ask for a transfer if you carry a suitcase. I am really sorry for my husband who needed to carry our luggage 300m upstairs.

No shuttle service after 8 pm, but free shuttle taxi service bfe that.
Big, difficult to locate the hotsprings at the beginning.
Very beautiful view of the town n river from the lobby.
Breakfast is fantastic but time is short. Closed a bit too early ie 9am.
some area in the tatami room has no heating. Making u easy to get a cold.

The hotel over looks the flowing river that runs through Gero while also looking at the mountains. Its a great location to easily walk into the town and explore the small shops and offerings there. If you have a chance, definitely recommend booking the room with a private onsen. Sitting in the onsen with the cool breeze from the mountains that came through the window was a great way to start and end the day I was there. The public baths are nice as well and lots of space. Getting around the hotel can be a little tricky sometimes if you don't read/speak japanese, but the staff is very friendly to help navigate the way. I opted in for the breakfast and dinner options and was stuffed. Very great quality and local offerings from the meals and did not even need lunch in between. Great for couples, families and solo travelers.

We love this hotel.. I really like Takayama unfortunately I stayed only 1 N as a stopover. We will visit again. The only issues is i do prefer high floor.. and was given 2nd but since we only stay for 1nite .. I did not change. Will visit again. Did not have time to check out other part of the facilities.
We ordered dinner and breakfast with accommodation.. the dinner was excellent . Breakfast spread is great.. lots of choices. Service is excellent in the restaurant.

The room was a little small, but it was a very comfortable stay overall. Free parking was provided just a short walk from the property, which was convenient. A simple self-service ochazuke was available for all guests, which was a warm and thoughtful touch.
Shoes are not allowed inside the hotel, so everyone walks around barefoot or in socks. It felt a bit unusual at first, especially while waiting for the lift, but it also meant that no outside shoes were brought into the rooms, helping to keep the space clean and cosy.

ギリギリの時間での夕食の予約でしたが、丁寧に対応していただきました。申し込み時の間違いにもすぐに対処して下さり、嬉しかったです。
ホテルのお風呂のフロアからは、長良川が目の前に見え、素晴らしい景色で驚きました。
お部屋のバスルームもステキでしたよ。
夕食も良かったのですが、朝食もまた良くて、朝からテンション上がります。
楽しい時間をありがとうございました。

Although it is close to railway station, but no noise in the midnight, my husband and I had a very good sleep at night. The bed and shower are so comfy, definitely will stay this hotel again if I visit Takayama again.

MMisafir KullanıcıFirst time staying and love the location. Literally 2min head-on walk from Takayama station. Easily walking about 20mins to high street and restaurants but Lawson just up the road right opposite. Room is cosy with a kitchenette, washer and fridge but no table... our kids have to set up a table using a suitcase. First time seeing a Jap grill in their kitchenette which is a pleasant surprise! Only pick is on hair found on cook top, bath tub and fridge. 🫠 amenity drinks can be taken from reception counter but towels gotta go through the receptionist. Elevator is rather tiny and just about fit our 2 large, 1 medium and 1 small suitcases.

MMui HuangWe stayed at Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama Musubinoyu for 2 nights, and it was the best accommodation of our entire Japan trip. The hotel is cosy, lovely, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The location is excellent, with easy access to the train station, shops, and restaurants. The onsen was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the relaxing foot bath. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, with a great selection to start the day. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Takayama.

EEthan the travelerLocation is in middle of nowhere. No nearby konbini or supermarket. Very small farm store next door. Bring your own food or eat at the very few local restaurants (most close early). Nice view from the lobby. Lobby heating was set too high. The room was too hot for my foreign blood, even after turning the temperature down. I'm on a your of all the Fairfield inn in Japan, and I wouldn't stay at this one again.

There's plenty of free drinks and snacks around (coffee/tea/yakult, ice cream, fermented rice drink, ramen) that you can take at set time periods. You can also rent yukatas for free.
The dinner and breakfast were amazing and extremely filling. The staff also took time to explain the individual dishes to us! Highly recommend that you book in advance, because there aren't many food options around the hotel.
The onsen (private/public) is also open for really long hours, so we could go late at night or early in the morning.
The hotel isn't too close to the main Shirakawago village, but they offer a shuttle service to and from the village. Do check the schedule in advance in order not to miss the bus!
