"This hotel is massive. Its comprises of 3 buildings and each building has its own public bath. And one of them has outdoor bath. The room I booked has balcony but it was too chilly to sit outside. Gym and swimming pool are also available but for ¥1,000 fee. Dinner was not impressive but the hotel provided 2 different foods on each dinner during my 2-day stay. Breakfast spread was good but it is buffet style and it was busy and chaotic. The best thing about this location it is very close to Gero station yet the hotel has pick ip and drop off service for every train schedules."

"The room was a little small, but it was a very comfortable stay overall. Free parking was provided just a short walk from the property, which was convenient. A simple self-service ochazuke was available for all guests, which was a warm and thoughtful touch. Shoes are not allowed inside the hotel, so everyone walks around barefoot or in socks. It felt a bit unusual at first, especially while waiting for the lift, but it also meant that no outside shoes were brought into the rooms, helping to keep the space clean and cosy."

"The hotel over looks the flowing river that runs through Gero while also looking at the mountains. Its a great location to easily walk into the town and explore the small shops and offerings there. If you have a chance, definitely recommend booking the room with a private onsen. Sitting in the onsen with the cool breeze from the mountains that came through the window was a great way to start and end the day I was there. The public baths are nice as well and lots of space. Getting around the hotel can be a little tricky sometimes if you don't read/speak japanese, but the staff is very friendly to help navigate the way. I opted in for the breakfast and dinner options and was stuffed. Very great quality and local offerings from the meals and did not even need lunch in between. Great for couples, families and solo travelers."

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The highlight was having a private onsen in the room, which made the experience feel very relaxing and special. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and the food was tasty. The public bath house was clean, well maintained, and never felt crowded. There were a few drawbacks. The TV had very limited international channels, the HDMI outlet could not be used, and we were unable to cast from our own devices to the screen. Despite these inconveniences, my overall stay was very pleasant and I would consider returning."

"We are here for their onsen (can opt for private or public) and because of its strategic location from the train station and bus station. There are alot of food options within short walking distance, around 10-15 min walk to reach miyagawa river and enjoy their morning market. The hotel provides odens and new year noodle because we spent new year during our stays. They put extra care for kids amenities with a cute slippers and handkerchief. We enjoy our stay in Takayam"

We love this hotel.. I really like Takayama unfortunately I stayed only 1 N as a stopover. We will visit again. The only issues is i do prefer high floor.. and was given 2nd but since we only stay for 1nite .. I did not change. Will visit again. Did not have time to check out other part of the facilities. We ordered dinner and breakfast with accommodation.. the dinner was excellent . Breakfast spread is great.. lots of choices. Service is excellent in the restaurant.

The room is exactly same as the photo on Trip.com, it is clean and spacious. Although it is close to railway station, but no noise in the midnight, my husband and I had a very good sleep at night. The bed and shower are so comfy, definitely will stay this hotel again if I visit Takayama again.

enjoyed our stay in takayama ouan with my family! the rooms are spacious for japan standards and i like how the hotel is full tatami so we can comfortably walk around barefoot or with just socks! free socks provided and unlimited pillows. the open air bath was great and there’s sauna and cold bath too. free ramen at night was delicious, breakfast was great too. won’t hesitate to book this hotel again next time!

Luxury hotel with spacious and comfortable room. Walk along the river bank during sunset was fantastic. Just 2 bus stops to the famous Gifu park. However, the location is more suitable for people driving cars. Not convinient to find resetaurants near by.

We stayed at Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama Musubinoyu for 2 nights, and it was the best accommodation of our entire Japan trip. The hotel is cosy, lovely, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The location is excellent, with easy access to the train station, shops, and restaurants. The onsen was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the relaxing foot bath. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, with a great selection to start the day. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Takayama.

Exceptional accommodation and service! My husband and I purely enjoyed our time at Yunoshimakan. We had a room with private open air bath because of my tattoos (so public bath wasn’t an option), and it was 100% worth its price. Kaiseki dinner was excellent, the buildings are adorable, we couldn’t wish a better service. Before coming, I thought that more than 1 day at onsen is waste of time — and totally regret the hadn’t made a choice to stay for a longer time. My advice: order a taxi or ask for a transfer if you carry a suitcase. I am really sorry for my husband who needed to carry our luggage 300m upstairs.

Location is in middle of nowhere. No nearby konbini or supermarket. Very small farm store next door. Bring your own food or eat at the very few local restaurants (most close early). Nice view from the lobby. Lobby heating was set too high. The room was too hot for my foreign blood, even after turning the temperature down. I'm on a your of all the Fairfield inn in Japan, and I wouldn't stay at this one again.
