Great location for watching sunrise directly from the room. Onsen view is great that I can see stars and listen to sea waves. The facility is old and the bathtub looks a bit rusty. The water needs 10 mins to become warm.

Atagawa Ocean Resort is a fantastic choice for travellers who don’t drive, as it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the train station. The location is stunning - imagine waking up to the beautiful blue sea right outside your room! The breakfast is also great, with a great variety of dishes to represent the local culture.

It is very remote. It’s located close to the beach and close enough to the town (30min walk). What we didn’t know is that the pool would already be taken down. Room is nice, but AC seemed to not be working properly. Staff is very friendly (especially in the cafe).

This is a lovely hotel. Every room has an ocean view and the beach is directly below. Surfers like this Beach and they're fun to watch. The gift shop is well stocked. We didn't try the restaurant.

A very good onsen hotel that I recommend to visit once!
The room was clean. Ukata was beautiful.
The Japanese kaiseki dinner was tasty, but my daughter doesn’t like it as she is not a sea food eater. But I am!
Onsen was relaxing!
Breakfast with a sea view was amazing!
I strongly recommend this hotel and appreciate them for accommodation!

房間很大，在日本住過的最大的。洗手盆，廁所和洗澡的地方都是獨立的。房間很大可以睡四個人。兩張床，兩個榻榻米。房間裏的可以看到夕陽，可惜陰天。衞生做的不錯，用的紙都有四種。值得一住。早飯也不錯。十樓有觀景和活動的地方

日帰りで伊豆に行く予定が思ったより広く臨時で宿泊。夕食、朝食はビュッフェでした。貸し出しの浴衣は柄も豊富で見ているだけで心躍る。ゲームコーナー等の遊技場もあるので大人数で来てもきっと楽しいだろう。

這家酒店我個人不是特別推薦。是很老的酒店，但其實我對老酒店，特別是日本的老酒店一向是不在意的。
畢竟，一分價錢一分貨。而且日本很多老酒店保有的很好，也很乾凈。
這家酒店的主要問題是地理位置不是很理想，離濱松站，濱松主要的繁榮街餚町和濱松城公園都不近。地理位置是最大不理想。
其次是，我不小心定了一個吸煙房，這個是我的問題，沒關係。但是和前台借空清潔器被拒絕了，這就不太好了。
我覺得，作為一家老牌酒店（又不是那種超級便宜的廉價酒店），借個空氣清新器應該是理所當然的。

The room was tidy and clean. We shared toilet and hot spring. The hot spring was awesome and we enjoyed 45 minutes there. This place was a worth staying hostel yet a bit far away from the JR station.

Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.
Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

MMisafir KullanıcıI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

Located right by the Fuji Speedway with stunning Mount Fuji views, this hotel is perfect for car enthusiasts and travelers seeking luxury. The service was exceptional—staff were kind, friendly, and most spoke excellent English, making communication a breeze for non-Japanese speakers. Check-in was smooth, and the team was always ready to assist with a smile.
The rooms were modern and comfortable, offering great views of the racetrack or Mount Fuji. I loved the motorsport-themed touches, like car-inspired decor, which added character without being overdone. The highlight for me was the circuit driving experience near the hotel. For an extra fee (around $100 for three laps, requiring an international driving permit), I got to drive on the track—a thrilling first for someone with no prior circuit experience! It was well-organized and an absolute must for adrenaline junkies.
The onsen spa and indoor pool were relaxing, and dining at TROFEO Italian was a treat, with fresh dishes and scenic views. The only downside is the remote location, so a car or the hotel’s shuttle from Gotemba is handy for exploring. Overall, the outstanding service and unique driving experience made this stay memorable.

MMisafir KullanıcıBeautiful hotel that’s located right by the seaside with unobstructed view of the sea. Outdoor onsen looks directly out to the sea and it’s amazing. Tatami was made for us already when we arrived and the mattress was thick and comfortable. We didn’t choose to have food there, and instead went out—there are several small restaurants nearby and are within short walking distance. The staff were friendly, they came out to greet us in the rain when we arrived. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

MMisafir KullanıcıIt was a quaint, cozy hotel situated close to JR Atami Station. The hotel has very good food for both dinner and breakfast! The staff are friendly and even though they can't speak good English, they tried their best to communicate to the best of their knowledge and I really appreciate it! I especially enjoyed my time at the onsen on the rooftop, it has good facilities.
The only thing is the cleanliness of the room, since there is still water in the kettle from the previous guests, I didn't want to drink any water from the kettle because of it. They should replace it with a new kettle or clean it. Otherwise, the room is also very cozy, they give yukatas for guests to wear them around the hotel and they also offer free transport to JR Atami station. Otherwise, I would have struggled to get around since there is lack of public transportation at Atami!
I still have a very good time and enjoyed my time because of the friendly staff at the hotel, they are very helpful! 10/10 will come back again with my friends or family in the future.

Breakfast and dinner included were more of Western and Japanese fusion. Not great for those looking for authentic dinner and breakfast stay experience in Japan.

Guests can also book a free shuttle to and from the JR station. It feels like a bit of a waste for just two people — it’s more suitable for four to five guests.
The front desk staff are warm and attentive.
Since the hotel is located in the mountains, I encountered a centipede in the hallway.
Walking there is not recommended.

MMic890First of all, I like to give a credit to 2 lady staff in this hotel. The first one is the lady who can speak fluent English, she tried very best to answer us and helped us to carry the baggage to the shuttle bus. The other lady staff in the front desk on 15/3 night going to my room to fix room facilities and helped me to out the luggage to the shuttle bus on 16/3 too.
The hotel in general all staff are nice and helpful. If you like to see sunrise, you better remarked it when you did the booking or ask the check in staff when arrival. The French restaurant is delicious. Public Onsen provided in a convenient time slot. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only recommend the hotel can include breakfast or snack in the room charge.
