"Midtown Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou: 5-Star Experience
I had a wonderful stay at the Midtown Shangri-La Hotel in Hangzhou. The hotel is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and offers outstanding service. Most of the staff speak English, and the check-in process is seamless, especially convenient for foreigners.
One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its location. It is directly connected to a mall, giving easy access to luxury stores such as Maison Margiela, Jil Sander, and many others. There is also a well-stocked supermarket (Ole’) and a wide variety of dining options, both Western and Chinese. Nearby restaurants include Blue Frog, Alimentari, Butterful & Creamorous etc
The hotel breakfast offers an impressive selection of both Western and Chinese dishes. Although I personally opted to have brunch at neighbouring restaurants, the hotel breakfast looked beautiful and abundant, with plenty of options.
The hotel also features a gym and several facilities that allow you to relax and enjoy your stay without even leaving the premises. Downstairs, there is a restaurant (possibly 24-hour) with a very versatile menu, perfect for high tea, desserts, or savoury meals at any time of the day, which is incredibly convenient.
Overall, the service, cleanliness, location, and amenities make this hotel an excellent choice. I would highly recommend Midtown Shangri-La to anyone visiting Hangzhou, especially international travelers."
