"The BnB was very clean, and the location is perfect for anyone visiting Disneyland. They offer free Disneyland drop-off and pick-up service, as well as airport transfers, which is super convenient. The property is also very family-friendly, making it a great choice for travelers with kids. The team showed great hospitality throughout my stay. There’s also a pool and a breakfast room, and the breakfast was lovely. The lady in the kitchen is very kind, and all the staff were incredibly helpful. It was also very convenient to order food through *******, and the bus stop is just 5 metres from the BnB. I truly enjoyed my entire stay. The room was exactly as described in the pictures. Thank you for your warm hospitality!"

"最驚喜的就是民宿的小貓特別親人會主動和你貼貼民宿外面環境還可以第一天下午達到還看見了夕陽真的有一種在度假的感覺。房間的話在上海這個價格衹能算還可以，房間桌子挺小的女生要化粧的話化粧品就佔滿整個桌子了我們住三天感覺帶的東西挺多的對於我來説放東西的地方挺少的自己帶的包包都是放在地上的，房間的投影設備投出來畫面也挺糊的，沒有自己家裡用得好用😂，房間設施都是比較簡單的，第一天晚上住得感覺挺不習慣的兩道窗簾拉上房間最側面外面還有透光進來，半夜也被不知道空調還是樓上洗頭聲吵醒，另外上海最近的天氣蠻潮濕的，最開始沒用上除濕機，感覺房間濕濕的被子也涼涼的重重的感覺，挺不舒服的後面用上除濕機住起來舒服多了。早上七點半有司機接去迪士尼晚上接回來，司機人也挺好的，民宿早餐有雞蛋燒麥紅薯豆漿，豆漿挺好喝的。可以點了外賣在客廳吃，全家便利店的全麥三明治也挺好吃的，我們第一天迪士尼吃，第二天就叫全家便利店的三明治飲料零食帶進去吃比較實惠還方便，迪士尼結束第四天大老遠去了天文館不感興趣不要去沒逛完都困了，不去滴水湖的話，天文館附近也沒有吃的玩的地方，最後一晚去外灘附近住，路程特別特別遠。"

KK/CStaff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The best affordable hotel to stay at when visiting Disney. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was Chinese, but fresh and tasty. Our daughter loved the rabbits in the garden. They offer a shuttle service to and from Disney and you can hire a big stroller from the hotel. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

WwalkingworldStayed in this hotel for around a week - overall great experience given the price. Location is one of the best in Shanghai - it’s across the road from line 1 and 7, which gets you to many attractions, and it’s one of the subway stations that are easier to navigate too - you can go towards huaihai road, and xintiandi, or you can go back, into xuhui district and explore meiluocheng, or you can go across to jingan temple, and along there. Furthermore, it’s a very short walk from some of the trendier shops on anfulu and so on. I have stayed numerous times in Shanghai now and it is difficult to top this location regardless of hotel pricing/prestige. I barely took the taxi my stay here, as it is also on some nearby bus lines. I had a room with a view, which was lovely indeed. The toilets are very very clean as they are disinfected after pretty much every use, and the washroom facilities are decent too, but slightly dated and the water pressure is mediocre. The room is very small - I personally am fine with tiny capsule-esque hotels but my luggage (26inch) was difficult to open fully and still have space to sit and walk, which is one thing that makes me carefully reconsider staying here again. Another thing is that there is one lift for this hotel which is on the higher floors, which means waiting for the lift can take a while too, especially if you order food and go to collect it on floor 18, but then you have to wait for the lift to go down and up again if you live on floor 17 or 19. Overall, for the price paid, experience is pretty good.

SShanghai based coupleAs a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces. We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough. The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities. Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening. Special and heartfelt thanks to the whole team who make the Club Lounge experience world beating: Eddie and Junita, who both lead by example, have a deep passion for the details that create excellence, as well as being just the nicest people. They are both incredibly inspiring leaders and professionals. Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that. Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin. Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful. Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work. Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

TTellaThe location is great. The room is clean and beds are comfortable. But the service lacks professionalism. When we arrived, no concierge to help take the luggage even though there is no ramp, but 5 or so steps. At reception I said it was my anniversary and do they have any recommendations for a nice restaurant, the receptionist suggested the hotel restaurant and offered cake or fruit. when we went to the restaurant, it was really small and they asked if I had a reservation. I felt like the receptionist who recommended it could have told me we should reserve in advance - a little detail that would have made a big impression. Then, not to sound ungrateful, but at 11:15pm when we were already sleeping, they brought fruit to the room, knocking on the door until we opened up. That was a bit strange to me.

The hotel itself is a beautiful, well-maintained property, and the room cleaning was truly outstanding. Our room attendant was kind, prompt, and extremely attentive — one of the highlights of the stay. Service across the hotel was generally very good, though luggage delivery took close to 30 minutes. We had mentioned that we were happy to carry our own bags as we didn’t want to wait, but unfortunately still had to. A few areas could use attention. The Rolls-Royce fleet, while still elegant, is definitely showing its age. The hot tub in the pool area had an unpleasant smell and visible mold in places, suggesting it needs better upkeep. That said, the overall experience was positive, and the pricing felt reasonable for a Peninsula property in Shanghai. With a bit more attention to the finer details, this could easily be an exceptional stay.

They thoughtfully decorated our room and surprised us with cakes and fruits as a kind gesture. We truly appreciated the effort — it made our celebration even more memorable. Our room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and offered breathtaking views of the city skyline. We especially loved the in-room mini pool — the highlight of our stay was simply relaxing and enjoying a bath while taking in the view. Tales Rooftop Bar was another standout experience. It’s the perfect place to appreciate the stunning city and river views while enjoying drinks. They offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary snacks as well. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. Aside from the buffet selection, guests can also order freshly prepared dishes like noodles and eggs, which are served hot — a wonderful touch. The staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They made us feel valued and were always ready to assist with a warm smile. The overall ambiance of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing, making it a perfect retreat despite being in a vibrant city like Shanghai. We highly recommend Banyan Tree Shanghai and look forward to returning in the future.

Despite it being 12am, Jude was incredibly helpful and proactive in assisting me with a parcel that was mistakenly sent to the wrong address. His willingness to help at such a late hour, coupled with his calm and professional attitude, truly reflects the high standards of service associated with Waldorf Astoria. JJanie NgI am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. The room I received was completely inconsistent with the photos and description shown during my online booking. I specifically booked a red-themed twin room with a central Bund view, and I even informed the hotel in advance that I preferred a high floor. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a room on the 8th floor, with a yellow-themed design and an edge-side view. From this room, two-thirds of the view was blocked by buildings, and only a small portion of the river could be seen — and even that was only visible when standing close to the window. The Oriental Pearl Tower view was almost entirely hidden. When I raised this issue with the staff, they denied any discrepancy and claimed that the only twin rooms available were in the yellow design, which clearly contradicts the photos shown during booking. I paid extra to upgrade to a Bund view, and it is unacceptable that I was initially placed in a room with such a limited and obstructed view. Only after I became very firm with my complaint did the staff agree to change my room to a double room with the proper central Bund view. This entire process wasted over one hour of my time, involved unnecessary waiting, and demonstrated poor service handling, especially for a hotel that claims to be five-star.
