I am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me. The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs. Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful. Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy. As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels. In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

二次入住同裏湖大飯店了，依然是完美體驗！酒店自帶湖景和花園，這次二刷好好逛了一圈。房間裏暖氣很足，這幾天降温一點也不冷。 特別要感謝管家小秋，從入住到離店始終熱情周到，主動安排需求，這次住宿多了不少温暖。自助晚餐有我最愛的鍋子和海鮮，很愛沒有酒精的雞尾酒🍸 來同裏放鬆小住，週末可以常來。

I stayed in Suzhou for a weekend between two factory visits. I wanted a place in the main tourist area of Gusu Yard. I liked the look of DongHuaLi hotel and it don’t let me down. It’s a short stroll (200 meters) down a lane off the road and literally on the other side of the canal from the hordes of tourists thronging Pingjiang Lu. You wouldn’t know from the hotel as it was nice and quiet. You could also get out of the area without hitting the tourists. Staff re very welcoming. I had the 3rd floor balcony room. Small but nice. Clothes washing facilities were good. Ground floor breakfast area/reception was clean and bright. I did pay for breakfast but never got out of bed early enough to try it. I’d definitely stay here again. Lovely place.

Very central location, near GuanQianJie shopping district and 30min walk to suzhou museum and Humble Administration Garden. The room was spacious, clean and serviced everyday. Love the kind and friendly staff members.

We were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

The hotel is near to the main attractions and attractions in Suzhou and service is generally good. There is no lift on the 3rd floor of the hotel, but guests can request for assistance to carry the luggage to their rooms if arranged to be on the 3rd floor.

This is my first time staying at the Hilton Hotel in Suzhou. I had a very pleasant staying there and was very impressive w the environment and services there. Staff members are warm and eager to help, especially Verena who was super helpful in making us feel at home and let us try out the afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge on the 42nd floor w a sweeping view of the beautiful city. My corner room was nice, clean, and quiet. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth it w fresh and tasty Chinese and Western food. The dining rooms in the restaurant on the third floor are elegantly decorated. Would love to go back and stay at tbis hotel again:)

Because of the good service and assistance in frontdesk, we decided to extend here. Worth the stay with good proximity on key scenic spots around Jinji lake. Close to subway good for transportation.

The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime. Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor. The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This hotel is located just by the Pingjiang Street. When I have to enter a small alley to the lobby I was a bit sceptical but when I checked in the room, I was amazed by the coziness of the room, and the space is also big. My hotel faces the river so it offers a very good view. I will dedinitely come back again.
