"For those of you who don’t want to bring winter attire from your country and plan to buy them in Harbin, you should definitely stay at this hotel. You can take a Didi directly to the hotel, drop off your luggage, and head downstairs to buy your winter essentials. Like me, I came here wearing just sport shoes and was able to buy really cheap winter shoes right away. This means you don’t need to walk around outside searching for what you need, and you don’t have to worry about your clothes being too thin for the cold. You don’t even need to bring full winter gear to feel safe and comfortable. Just make sure to take a Didi to the hotel—the fare is really cheap. The location is super strategic, the host is very kind and helpful, and the shopping center for winter clothes is literally less than a two-minute walk away!"

"Hotel is right in the heart of central street, directly opposite the popular 三里屯铁锅炖 stew pot, along with many other food options. Very accessible and easy for first timer who likes to be in the heart of tourist attractions and has the flexibility to go back and out from the hotel. Room is as per photo shown, small but cosy. Heater works well. Room is smoke free. The only downside is waiting time for lift requires 1-3 min extra as hotel has only 1 lift."

"I don't know how much I can thank the staff of this hotel for giving me the best treat for my birthday, especially by upgrading my room with a window-view and a bath-tub, thank you so much, because you put me gave me a window-view, I saw snow falling, on the day of my birthday! Everything about the hotel is very commendable for me: location (near Central Street), cleanliness, service, and facilities! "A true hospitality gem in Harbin In all of our travels through China and Southeast Asia in the last several years, my wife and I have been fortunate to stay in many lovely hotels and inns, and the superbly located Maxx Hotel in Harbin is certainly one of them. Under the excellent management — Mr. Liu Weifeng, and another young female front desk manager whose last name happen to be Liu as well — and their hardworking team of hospitality experts, the Maxx has embraced a true entrepreneurial spirit to provide guests a distinctive, top-tier hospitality experience. After a long train ride, we were in dire need of a comfortable and well-appointed room with view, and we weren’t disappointed! We took our time to decompress and enjoy the large lobby, uniquely positioned on the penthouse 25th floor, to enjoy the panoramic view of the Songhua River and a bird’s eye view of nearly every major attraction of central Harbin and its impressive night-time skyline — of course, all within a minutes relaxing stroll. The Maxx’s amenities include a terrific buffet breakfast featuring local and national cuisines, an afternoon tea, and even late night snacks and beverages. Guests have the liberty of just enjoying the hotel’s amenities or walking to all the major tourist attractions, which we did, like the bustling evening stroll we took on Central Street, or our short walk to marvel at the Russian Orthodox-inspired St. Sofia Cathedral with the special bonus of people watching all the young people dressed in historical and fantastical costumes for photos to embrace the “otherworldly” atmosphere. We also strolled around the Memorial commemorating overcoming the Great Flood of 1957, enjoyed the cool, verdant shade of the beautiful Gen. Zhaolin Li Park, as well as enjoyed the bridges, river ferries, trams, and laser shows — all merely steps away — or if you are in a more relaxing frame of mind watching the entire spectacle from your perch on the 25th floor! We did both. We urge you to visit the Maxx in Harbin and enjoy Mr. Liu and team’s special hospitality. You definitely won’t regret it."

"A very great stay in this Appartment. The Host was very nice and helpful, she gave us more towels and water when we asked. We got the deposit back without any problem. The appartment is very well located, just in front of the Cathedral, I highly recommend ! :)"

"I had a pleasant stay in Harbin, and the hotel’s location was definitely a highlight. Situated right at the entrance of Zhong Yang Shopping Street, it’s incredibly convenient to explore the area, with major tourist spots just a short walk away. Food and shopping are also easily accessible nearby. The hotel itself is newly renovated, giving it a fresh and clean appearance. However, it’s worth noting that there are no additional facilities, as the hotel occupies the upper floors of commercial shop lots. Despite that, the overall experience was quiet and enjoyable. A great choice for travelers prioritizing location and simplicity."
