What a great boutique hotel. We were picked up at the train station and taken to the North Gate wall entrance and we walked about 200 m to the hotel. We were greeted by Ming Xia. She gave us recommendations on what to see. She even arranged the Hanfu photo shoot which was excellent. The hotel is a small (about 9 rooms) but beautiful, spacious & clean. We tried the western & chinese breakfast. Both was very well presented and tasted great. The hotel is beautifuly located. Definitely recommend this hotel. Than you Ming Xia!

古色古香的院子，不虛此行。店家很貼心提前一天就和我們取得了聯繫，發了停車場的位置，還貼心的為我們提前打開了房間的空調，比我想的還周到。由於我們半路貪玩，到平遙的時候天已經黑了，還好店家提前派人在停車場的沿途等着我們，要不可能都開過了。酒店的位置很便利，到西大街，南大街都很方便。這家店早餐也很豐富，絕對值得體驗。對了，店家還幫我們升級了窯洞房，還有打折餐券感謝噢！我感覺在平遙遇到的商家都很友善，而且服務意識也很強。特別推薦！

Во время визита в Пекин, главным условиями поиска были: расположенность к центру Пекина (Площади Тиеньан мен) и демократичная цена. По итогу просмотра около сотен различных вариантов размещения, выбор остановился на этом отеле. И я нисколько не пожалел об этом решении. Отель реально находится почти в центре (до Закрытого Города буквально пару станций метро, мы же смогли дойти пешком - около 45-50 минут). Бронировал комнату с тремя кроватями. Фото на сайте соответствовали действительности. Доброжелательный ресепшн снабдил нас дополнительной водой, так как Июль и Август самый жаркие месяцы 🥵🥵🥵 В номере было чисто и имелось все необходимое, включая одноразовые тапочки и тапочки для душа. Перевести на английский During my visit to Beijing, the main criteria for choosing accommodation were proximity to the city center (Tiananmen Square) and an affordable price. After reviewing about hundreds of different accommodation options, I settled on this hotel. And I didn’t regret this decision at all. The hotel is actually located almost in the center — it’s just a couple of metro stops to the Forbidden City. We were able to walk there in about 45–50 minutes. I booked a room with three beds. The photos on the website matched the reality. The friendly reception staff provided us with additional water, as July and August are the hottest months. Very well located. Being an old and traditional house, the room is less comfortable to compare to other hotels. Basic continental breakfast offered, if you want a yogurt you have to pay an upcharge. The staff is very helpful

酒店今年剛剛開業，裝修非常好，有全屋智能系統，三個入住非常寬敞，乾濕分開大家可以互不幹擾充分利用。前台服務非常暖心，給我們介紹景點玩法，附近美食。老闆提供接送站，早上退房老闆送我們去火車站，知道我們還沒有吃早點，特意繞路帶我們去當地居民區品嚐平遙特色早餐，人太好了，非常感謝！唯一不足是主卧的門沒有門把手，開門時得用手扣。瑕不掩瑜，這點下瑕疵還是可以接受的。

The hotel is beautiful, specially the patios. The location is just 10 minutas walking from the North Gate of the wall. In reception they do not speak English, but they were very helpful with the translator. However, if you really need to rest, this hotel is not made for you. At 7am there were already families and kids shouting and playing in the patio. Even with taps, it was too noisy to keep sleeping. The hotel is also offering folkloric dressing and photos shoots, so you might find people take pictures in front of your room anytime, also at night with flashes

Excellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao

Pro + It is a new and beautiful place to stay. + Very kind, friendly and polite staff. + Spacious bathroom. + When leaving early the taxi driver can pick you up in front of the hotel. Cons — The hotel is too expensive. — Not a smoke free hotel. There was even smoke inside the lobby and the second night it was all over our room too (airconditioning?). — The first night we tried the dinner, but it was not good. They have photos of the food, but it doesn’t match with what you get. We ordered salmon sushi and got FROZEN sushi instead which was obviously not eatable. — When we asked for a tea on the terrace we were charged 48 Yuan per person which is way too expensive. — The bedroom is a bit too small and has the same size as the bathroom.

一直認為，旅行是放鬆、是見識，是人生中的養分。通過離開自己所熟悉的環境去了解不同的文化和歷史，遇見有趣的人，豐富自己的人生。所以這次來平遙就是抱着體驗真正的“古城”生活而來。 我這次選擇錦宅客棧，果然沒有失望。錦宅不是那種刻意營造“復古風格”的客棧，它是一座真正的百年建築。當錦宅的工作人員為我打開厚重古樸的木門時，映入眼簾的是深深庭院、青磚灰瓦、木質傢俱，一切都充滿古色古香的意境，而裏面的一些當代藝術品又很好的與古樸的意境融合。當然如果來到這裏，是想感受現代五星級酒店的科技與狠活、設施的先進與智能，這裏不一定適合。但如果你想像我一樣，希望關上電腦、放下手機，暫時遠離嘈雜、迴歸寧靜和更清澈安寧的內心，以及來體驗一下真正的古代大户人家的生活狀態，那麼錦宅是一個很好的選擇。 錦宅古建保護之完好，每位工作人員服務之用心，讓我有了一種家外之家的感受，真的是從內心感謝錦宅提供瞭如此有格調和品位的“古城生活”體驗！另外我也非常喜愛和享受在下午茶時段，喝着茶，靜靜的看着外面街上人來人往…，一切是那麼美好！
