"The ideal location across from Dali railway station and bus number 4 conveniently gets you to the ancient town and three pagodas. As a hotel it serves the basics...though as non English speaker issues are not easily resolved despite them saying they have multilingual staff (that means they use an app). Rooms are not cleaned properly (dirty cups not replaced and amenities not restocked. The coffee/ tea area in the room is a cup and two tea bags - no stirrer sugar or milk. Breakfast is chaotic - running out of good, dirty and not enough space to sit when what seems the whole hotel cones to breakfast at the same time...group booking I would suggest. Gym is the biggest joke. All equipment is broken and I'm sure no management has checked it since it was purchased. Most of the time guest luggage is placed in front of the entrance to the gym as they eat in the restaurant! Would I recommend - only if proximity to station is important. Brett (Australia) Nov 25"

"I had such a good time at the hostel! The vibe there is super comfortable, chill and the people i have met travellers and owners were also really friendly. Especially the owner did so much to help me! As a Chinese German on my first solo trip in China he helped me organise so much and i'm so thankful! He helped me organise a ”pingche” to Shaxi, which is similar to an ubershare and when i wasn't able to explain something in chinese we would text each other via wechat to communicate. I would definitely come back again. Thank you again for the great stay and all the help!"

"這次入住體驗完全超出了我的預期！前台小姐姐的服務特別貼心，不僅主動幫我們搬行李，還非常熱情地介紹當地好玩的地方。聽説我們是假期後錯峯出遊，竟然免費把房間升級成了豪華雙人房，這個驚喜太讓人開心了。新房間特別寬敞，床品柔軟舒適，能看出老闆在裝修上花了很多心思，每個小細節都很有品味。早上被陽光叫醒的感覺真好，餐廳的早餐也很豐盛，尤其是現煮的米粉搭配特色小菜，味道真的很地道。從入住到離店，整個體驗都很完美，已經推薦給朋友了，下次來這邊玩一定還會選擇這裏！"

"Exceptional Hospitality in a Perfect Location This hotel in Dali was an absolute gem and greatly enhanced our trip. From the incredible service to the ideal location, it exceeded all our expectations. The staff are the heart of this place. They are exceptionally friendly and genuinely willing to help. They used their local knowledge to help us book a car and offered great advice for exploring the area. The most touching gesture was when they learned we were traveling with our toddler; they kindly upgraded us to a beautiful room with a stunning view. Our upgraded room offered a breathtaking vista. We were even able to see the sun lighting up the golden peaks of Cangshan Mountain (”golden hill”) right from our window in the super early morning—a magical and unforgettable view. The breakfast was a highlight every morning. The portions are huge! The Yunnan mixian (rice noodles) were particularly delicious and authentic. It was the perfect fuel for a day of exploration. The location is incredibly convenient. It's just a short walk from the North Gate of the Ancient City, making it easy to come and go. The surrounding area is also full of fantastic restaurants and cafes, so you're never far from a great meal. The hotel has a very relaxed and comfortable vibe. The open-concept common dining area and kitchen gave it a real ”home away from home” feel, where we could unwind and plan our day. It offers incredible value, not just for its amenities and location, but for the warm, personalized service that makes you feel truly cared for. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Dali."

It is also very close to Erhai park for a nice stroll and scenic views of Erhai. The hotel and room itself is fantastic. Very classy, good size and clean room with nice comfy bed, and nice shower. Ordering food delivery is also easy as they have robots to send the food to your doorstep. They also have 3 washers and dryers for you to do laundry at any time. Fantastic place to stay and would highly recommend."

The resort offers free scooters, which we didn't use, but it's a great perk for those who want to explore. After checking in, the host kindly recommended a few nearby restaurants for lunch, which we really appreciated. We also took advantage of the complimentary transfer to the railway station after checking out, making our departure seamless. The room we booked had a stunning sea view, and we loved spending time on the balcony, just relaxing and soaking in the scenery. A thoughtful touch was the welcome fruits and pastries provided upon check-in. The room itself was high-tech with a smart system, allowing us to control the lights, curtains, and more with just our voice—such a cool feature! JJL TravelsOur stay at the villa was absolutely flawless. The moment we made the booking, the service desk was extremely responsive, addressing all our queries via WeChat. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by two staff members who waited patiently for us despite the chilly breeze. They efficiently took care of our luggage, ensuring a seamless check-in process. The rooms offered breathtaking views and a refreshing breeze, further enhanced by the delightful welcome tea break snacks. The rooms were well-equipped with essential amenities, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches, including a projector that allowed us to enjoy a fun karaoke session. To top it all off, the staff even prepared an early breakfast for us, which was truly appreciated.

MMisafir KullanıcıThe Mogu House Inn has been a great place to stay where it is located very near to the Dali Ancient City, which is in fact a haven of shopping and dining in a traditional way. The distance to the ancient city is about 100meters away and easily accessible. Let's start with the first day where we arrived at Dali railway station and took DiDi cab to the inn, which is about 30mins ride. The location of the inn is actually housed inside a coffee cafe and it is along a gentle slope where the road is manageable for the luggages. So no problem moving about. Upon arrival, the inn owner will welcome you and help to carry in the luggages for the whole family. Much appreciate their help. The breakfast is linked to another building, which is also co-owned by the owners and I must say the noodles are great! Yummy and had 2 bowls each meal. Do remember to get a meal voucher before proceeding to the dining hall. The room is pleasantly nice and clean with smart voice activated services such as temperature control and curtain adjustment. Although the room I booked is on the second floor, it is just short steps upwards. The inn also provide self laundry services which is located at the top floor. It is a washer and heat pump dryer system where the detergent is self dispensed. So no worries that u run out of clothing. In fact, fresh clothing's every day where the dryer really dried it to a crisp. At the end of stay, we wanted to book transport to lijiang and the owners clearly help us a lot and the price is very reasonable and save a lot of hassles for us. All in all, thank u so so much!! I have attached the location of the inn so the rest of the travellers can identify! No regrets and it's has been a very pleasant stay!

Not only was the location amazing (the hotel overlooks the Erhai and Cangshan, making breakfasts and any meals eaten extremely picturesque and peaceful) but the staff was incredibly kind, doing everything they could to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. On the day of our arrival, a staff came to pick us up from the taxi and carried our luggage to the hotel, making sure we wouldn't get lost. On our last day, another staff member took us to the bus station, carrying our bags and waiting until the bus came to pick us up. The hotel is located just off the main street, still next to the main shopping area, but allowing for a more quiet and peaceful environment. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the furniture to the rooms to the plants. We would highly recommend coming to this hotel, and we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for making our trip so wonderful and welcoming, Cloud House! Appreciate you!!!

LLuisa MarconiThe hotel is very nice, new and with a beautiful view on the mountains from the second floor terrace, and also on the lake from the 4th floor, where is located a laundry guests can use. We had a warm welcome and we were spoiled all along our stay. The host offers an evening soup and tea around a fireplace for all the guest, and we felt like a family even with a language barrier that is overcome with kindness and translator. The cinese breakfast is generous and the coffee is very good. A special thanks to our guardian angel Li Shiqin. The location of the hotel is also very good at a walking distance from the Dali Old town and close to other local attractions.

Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing. Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl. When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good. The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea. Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea. Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants. The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use. The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station. It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

I have been requesting for quite a lot of help - collect parcel in behalf of me and they even do extra miles go to pickup my parcel. Save me extra supper, introducing nearby food to eat, culture sharing, they do provide for charter car service - but this will need to extra request. We booked for 2 nights and they give free pickup or drop off x1. They will text you a day before 💛. They have a very nice view for photos at their top floor. Food are simple yet light just perfect for us. Location wise is quite near roughly 5-7 minutes walk from hotel to Dali old town . Overall , 5/5

AAndy0neJust got back from an amazing stay at the Pullman Dali ! First off, the views of Erhai Lake are incredible. Waking up to that every morning was worth the trip alone. The hotel is super modern and everything was spotlessly clean—our room felt like a perfect, comfortable retreat. But the real highlight was the service. A huge shoutout to our room assistant, Tracy! She was so attentive and helpful. For two days, she was basically my personal ”Ask Me Anything” guide for the hotel and Dali. Need a restaurant tip? Ask Tracy. How to work the lights? Tracy knows. Extra pillows? Tracy's on it. She answered every single question and made everything so easy and smooth. If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable hotel with stunning views and staff who genuinely make your stay better, this is it. Thanks especially to Tracy for making our trip so special! Highly recommend!

MMisafir KullanıcıWe had a wonderful stay! The room was quiet, comfy and the whole place has a beautiful vibe. We loved that we could walk to restaurants. Breakfast and the nightly cocktails were such nice touches! It’s a great spot for a couple or even a small family. The hosts were amazing - so friendly and helpful. They went extra miles to make sure we felt totally at home. Would 100% recommend.
