"Overall experience was good, location is excellent. Very convenient to go to and from New Chitose airport by bus, Susukino metro is 5 mins walk. I like that they have coin laundry, vending machine and public bath in the hotel. Water in the public bath was a little too hot (probably over 45oC) but I guess that's normal to Japanese. The only thing I don't like is that the check in time is stiff 15:00 whether the room is vacant or not, but that's still acceptable."

"Sapporo Hotel by Granbell offers a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which makes guests feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive.
The hotel itself is modern and clean, with immaculate rooms that reflect great attention to detail. We booked a corner suite and were delighted to be assigned a high-level room with a fantastic view, which made the stay even more memorable.
Location is another strong point. The hotel is conveniently situated near Sapporo Station, making it easy to get around the city. Major shopping destinations such as Stellar Place, Daimaru, and other large malls are all within easy reach, perfect for dining and shopping.
One thing to note for travelers who are driving: although parking is available at the hotel, there is a daily parking fee for hotel guests. This is worth factoring into your plans if you intend to rent a car.

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Shikanoyu! The room was spacious and comfortable, which made for a very relaxing experience. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a wide variety of delicious options – definitely a highlight of the stay.
The service was top-notch; the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I also appreciated the large car park, which made parking hassle-free.
The only minor downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the main shopping and restaurant areas, so you’ll need to drive or plan ahead for meals and shopping. That said, the peaceful surroundings actually added to the relaxing atmosphere.
Overall, I really liked this hotel and would gladly stay here again!"

"What a lovely stay to sum up our travel in Hokkaido!
We booked a night at this Hotel as our flight was first thing in the morning and it didn’t disappoint! Everything was perfect! The room has a lovely Japanese vibes to it. It is spacious, very clean, the bed was huge and the mattress so comfy. The window overlooks the runway. The personnels’ service was tip top! And the onsen was the icing to the cake. The room provided bath robes, yukatas and lovely pairs of japanese slippers. My girls utilised the gym too!
The Airport is lively and has many stores selling all kinds of things including souvenirs and food! It’s just convenient!
We just wished every hotel is like this one. Thumbs up Portom!"

"We got a Japanese type room for 5 persons in the new annex 16th floor. It has a nice view of the mountain. The room is a little old but clean. The corridor on the 16th floor is a little dark. The room door is quite hard to open as you need to turn the key and push the heavy door to open it. They provided a gum tape so we can stick bugs that flew into the room. The dinner place on the 1st floor is huge but since it was crowded due to the public holiday, it took us about 30mins to line up before getting seated. It would be wise to check with the staff what time is the best to avoid congestion."

Service is poor - kept insisting my booking was at Annex Hotel even after showing them my booking; no apologise even after checking. Service was good. Attentive staff who tried to communicate using the translator device.
Shower cap is not provided, otherwise the amenities provided are essential & necessary for a comfortable stay.

It was stuffy in the middle of night, so we informed front desk. Not long after, the service staff came up with a portable fan & opened our window a little.
Buffet breakfast was a delicious spread.

JJasper Ng KROne thing that impresses me was the attentiveness and friendliness of the staffs. The moment you enter the lobby, they are ready to assist you, no matter what matters you have: whether it is checking in, asking for directions, or even recommendations where to have dinner! Check in was smooth and view from the hotel room is great. Breakfast is at 35F, and if you wakes up early, you will have a chance to catch the sunrise! Variety of food is great and everything is tasty! Overall, a comfortable stay!
Last but not the least, this hotel is just located next to Sapporo Station!

MMisafir KullanıcıThis was my second stay at this onsen hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were generally courteous and helpful, although the receptionist could have been more welcoming, as he did not greet guests with a smile.
The facilities were well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the night lounge area, where guests could relax with mulled wine, coffee, and fresh grilled apples while enjoying a foot spa. The hotel was clean throughout, and the meals served were fresh and of good quality.

AAnonim KullanıcıThis Ryokan has a charming traditional atmosphere, though communication can be challenging as some of the staff speak very limited English. Overall, the stay was fine, but the food was a major disappointment.
Dinner was served as Kaiseki, yet the quality was far below expectations. The sashimi was not fresh at all, still icy and melting on the plate while we ate. Other dishes, such as the shabu-shabu hot pot and appetizers, were also mediocre and lacked refinement.
Service at the restaurant was another issue: staff repeatedly got our drink orders wrong, and the language barrier made it difficult to resolve. For a property of this level, that was unacceptable

EElisia LohBooked a room for three of us — two beds and one sofa bed. The room feels quite cramped, with limited tabletop space for our things. Once the luggage is opened on the floor, there’s hardly any walking space left.
The laundry room has five combo washer-dryer machines. If you have a heavier load, it’s better to run separate wash and dry cycles instead of using the combo option.
After a soak at the public bath, you get to enjoy an ice cream popsicle — it’s really good! The hair dryer is powerful too, with just the right temperature that doesn’t scald the scalp.
Location is very convenient, just across the road from the shopping street. However, access to the metro station is mainly via stairs, but if you could locate big department stores like PARCO or 4PLA, around the hotel, they would have lift or escalator going to the metro basement level

MMisafir KullanıcıMy experience at this hotel is quite unpleasant and not up to my expectations given its high rating. The room is spacious and clean. But the facility and service is just average. The biggest issue is the staff do not speak any English and fail to communicate even using translator(I understand some Japanese hotel does not feel the need to speak in other languages which is fine, but they will have to find other solutions to give clearer guidelines to help non-Japanese guests). The staff sounds polite to say sorry if they cannot help you, but they are not observant to our needs and not helpful from their actions.We stayed for 2 nights and had put a “please clean the room” sign at the door but no cleaning is done for the room. There were two onsen which men and women are assigned to use one of them at specific time, but one of them is actually old and has very limited clean-up area, so the onsen is actually not as good as the official photos suggested. The food is disappointing too, they look nice but the taste is quite bad and the cooked fish in all our meals is so rough in texture.

SSEUNGRI높은 수준의 식사를 경험할 수 있었고 개인 온천을 마음껏 이용할 수 있어 좋았습니다. 냉장고 안에 음료도 원하는 만큼 마실 수 있었고, 세면도구와 타올도 충분히 제공됩니다. 기념품으로 주는 어메니티도 훌륭하고 주변 풍경도 좋습니다.
다만, 화장실 내 욕조는 물이 잘 빠지지 않고 물이 빠지는 구멍이 오염된 채 노출되어 있었습니다.
高い水準の食事を経験することができ、個人温泉を思う存分利用することができて良かったです。 冷蔵庫の中の飲み物も好きなだけ飲めたし、洗面用具やタオルも十分に用意されています。 お土産のアメニティも素晴らしいですし、周辺の景色もいいですよ。
ただ、トイレ内の浴槽は水がよく抜けず、水が抜ける穴が汚れたまま露出していました。
