"I requested a non-smoking room, but upon check-in, the room had a noticeable smoking smell, which was unpleasant for my young child. Additionally, the front desk did not walk us through the smart room system, and I had to go back down to the reception for assistance with turning on the air conditioning. The service and attitude of the staff were not very accommodating. The breakfast offered limited choices, and I hope they can improve and provide more options. The hotel is not as close to the airport as I expected, and reaching the property involves passing through a narrow lane. Overall, I can't comment further as I only used the hotel as a resting place after arriving late at night."

"One of the best services I've experienced in any hotel globally. And this is coming from someone who travels constantly and has lived in hotels for the last 2+ years. The team were always smiling, so friendly and approachable. I spoke to Miss Zhong Zhong often who was delightful, helping with anything and everything. The rooms are very clean, laundry room is very convenient and the garden restaurant was delightful. Delicious fresh food, and lots of vegetables that they grow themselves. It would be a pleasure to come back to this hotel."

"The Huarong was perfect for our first and last stays on our Yunnan family adventure. It's not in a city central location, but it is just next to a big modern mall with all the food options and shops you need to orientate yourself if this is your first visit to China. The rooms are super spacious with views over the neon lit surroundings. The kids room had a ball pool and slide that our children were super happy with. The staff were very responsive to any and all of our requests. The nearest metro station is just a walk over the road and it was easy to book Didi taxis to get to other locations. A very good price for well appointed rooms."

"Service was excellent. They seek to please. They generously checked us in early and provided us with complimentary breakfast: the chicken soup is a must try , especially after a long day of travelling. Needed some help to settle some courier matters . The ladies at the counter especially ms dong was more than supportive in helping. Will highly recommend"

"住這家酒店真的像回家一樣舒服！房間收拾得乾乾淨淨，床品軟乎乎的，躺上去秒睡，連鬧鐘都沒叫醒我。前台小姐姐超親切，check in的時候還提醒我附近有家超好吃的早餐店，早上溜達過去果然沒踩雷。房間裏的熱水來得快，水温也穩，洗個熱水澡渾身都放鬆了。最驚喜的是投影啦，投屏很清晰還有免費的會員。退房的時候還幫我叫了8車，司機師傅很快就到了，全程都順順當當的。下次來這邊還住這兒～"

"第一次入住111房,設備還算可以正常使用. 在兩天後再次入住的405房,就有以下圖一走廊燈不亮,連同睡床上的吊燈也是不能開用的,,廁所坐板嚴重脫落以致不能安心使用,冷氣機連接電源不稳定,冷氣選凍啟動時發出機器噪音,只能用自動才能把噪音減低.我明白只是過境停留轉機12個小時.按這個價位,也希望貴店在設備方,做到基本設備到位. 兩次入住,前台的負責同事都有好好跟進我們預約車返回機場的時間,這個做得很到位,值得加分."

"Great airport hotel. Awesome rooms, beautifully designed and have everything that you need and more ! I appreciate the free airport shuttle which operates every half an hour from 4am to 2pm. You do need to let the front desk know you need this service in advanced as seats on the car is limited. This service is very handy especially when I have elderly parents travelling with me. Great shout out to the driver who was very helpful with the luggage and he was friendly and polite. Reception had prepared packed breakfast for us which was very thoughtful, eggs, bread and milk, however our milk were all confiscated at the airport custom as we forgot we could not bring liquid across. This is something for guests to take note of and maybe the hotel can help remind guests about this. I have to highlight a few quirks of this place though that can hopefully improve the experience. There is a steep flight of stairs between the main road and the hotel building, it's a weird urban design if you ask me but this seems to be out of the hotel's control. That means if you have heavy luggages and elderly with waking issues to manage, this is problematic. Reception pointed to us a slop along the steep flight of stairs but is just as steep that is might as well not exist in the first place. We asked if reception has anyone to help, perhaps a porter or a young lad around but there was none. They were also not very helpful in suggesting alternatives ways of getting into the hotel. We realised ourselves much later there is a back door on ground level although it could mean a longer walk around to get to that. but it's better than not providing any suggestions. While I don't expect the ladies at the reception to help with the heavy luggages, I thought the management could have some protocols to help guests who have issues with the steep flight of stairways. In 21st century, it is important to consider inclusivity design of service offering to achieve a more international level of standards. Just a suggestion for management consideration. Overall, it's a good hotel with awesome hardware, but the service training could be better. The reception at the front is great at doing the standard basics but could do with some improvement of being a little more sympathetic to guests reaching out for support and help. I think this hotel has great potential to compete with other big international brand names with a little more service improvements. Ibis is just literally next door but I hope Chinese brands will thrive even more in the near future. I will keep a look out for this Chinese chain in the future when visiting China ! :)"

"One of the best hotels in Kunming. The room is big and we also got a free upgrade. All the staff at the front desk are very nice, friendly and helpful, especially, 漫漫，who is very professional and helpful. Though the hotel is not located in the center of the city, but it’s very easy to get a DiDi to go anywhere in the city for about 10 minutes. I like the hotel and would recommend to my friends who are coming to here. I would stay here again if I am coming back."
