"Reception were not well trained . Upon check in day one a deposit was collected and on the same day night they made a call to inform we did not pay the hotel charges and later explained it was reception lapsed that they did not collect upon check in even it states pay at property . 2) chambermaid was brazen to wash our socks without permission and after breakfast we were shocked to see our socks as wet. What if we only have a pair of socks for tourist stay ? 3) after check out multiple phone calls was made to our mobile and was told item teaspoon was missing in the room. And if they cannot find it they will raise a charge on our credit card ??? We called back 5 times to ask n follow-up and wasted 30 Mins of our morning to ask if item was found . We even informed it was on the basin area. Wrong procedure as in general all check out reception staff would contact chambermaid to ask if minibar and items were intact before letting the guest check out . The reception lady were having an aloft attitude and said we could go and we even have to ask for car parking coupon and were directed to fill in the form . This make us beg for service instead and please train your staff to check the items before check out and not making irritating calls and that spoil our rest of the day with 5 international calls made to assist them for a teaspoon costs of CNY20!!! Disgusting service . Please train your staff !!!"

"Excellent location which nearby to Xining Railway Station if you plan to take train to Tibet. The reception is very polite especially the staff 皓东哥managed to help us for last minutes request. The cleanliness & breakfast are excellent, modern design, amenities is great and convenient location."

"The front desk staff of the hotel called us before we arrived at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk's service attitude was also very warm. The room also gave fruit and yoghurt. We also accepted breakfast and dinner time. The room was very clean. It was very close to the railway station. It was also very convenient. It also helped upgrade the room type. The northwest trip was very perfect. Next time I will come again."

"A welcome sight not far from where the Airport bus drops. 12 minutes walk to the main railway station - if you like steep stairs on the underpass. Convenient walk to Dogguan Mosque site, local restaurants and City Mall. Grandiose lobby (where you check in) is on the 21st floor. Many facilities on different floors, but most seemed shuttered and unavailable. Hallway and room were in excellent condition. Nice room layout and view of the city. However, shower room light would not turn off at night. Study desk was a bit wobbly. Muslim Specialty restaurant has a high end menu but the sofas are not suited for dining, I think. Hotel's free vegetarian breakfast buffet was very tasty."

"特別棒的一次入住體驗，無論環境，還是服務設施，還有衞生，都是特別滿意的一家酒店，酒店離火車站距離不到1公里左右，我帶着一家人去西寧旅遊的，酒店老闆會親自出來迎接，為我找好停車位，很方便，前台辦理入住手續也很速度，服務員會幫着我們一大家拿行李，把我們送回房間，有問必答，處理事情快速，很爽快，我訂了他們家的套房，房間夠大，孩子們跑着玩耍也足夠，房間面積差不多到100個平方，而且床也夠大，尤其晚上看看西寧夜景也是絕絕子，窗外就是山峯，湟水河景觀，環境超級棒，服務也是很好，幫我們指揮停車還有幫提行李，很贊，讓人感到一種賓至如歸的感覺，設施很齊全，房間配備了直飲機，乾淨方便，洗衣服也特別方便，很快，衞生就更沒得説，床鋪有一種淡淡的茶香，很喜歡，特別容易入眠，總之很喜歡，也會強烈推薦，第二天退房的時候還有小禮品贈送，雖然沒有多少錢，但是，很實用，謝謝商家，祝大賣大賣！"

"I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is."

"I chose Park Plaza as it was convenient to both the train station and airport. The price was also excellent value for money. My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue. I checked in around 7am and was shown my room. It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window, and it also had a freestanding bath. Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels. I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one . This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet. The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive. Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China.. I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away. The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet. I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining."

"Very nice rooms and good breakfast. Conveniently located near the train station and very reasonably priced. A good choice if you are spending the night and want a hotel close to the station. The only downside is that they don't have non smoking rooms and some rooms smell like cold tobacco. But they immediately accepted to change my room when I said it was smelling. They were also very helpful in providing directions and helping me book a cab as my Chinese is quite poor."

"I booked a room with a window. I spent more than friends to have a better room. However their cheap room had a window but mine did not. Instead it had a glass wall that looked into the hallway. When I first arrived the room door was open. They solved that problem and my friends and I went out to eat. When we returned (3 hours after checking in) none of our room keys worked. I had to go downstairs to reception twice to get it working. Then at breakfast a man started smoking in the breakfast area and no one stopped him. I would pass on this hotel the next time I’m in Xining."
