"Reception were not well trained . Upon check in day one a deposit was collected and on the same day night they made a call to inform we did not pay the hotel charges and later explained it was reception lapsed that they did not collect upon check in even it states pay at property . 2) chambermaid was brazen to wash our socks without permission and after breakfast we were shocked to see our socks as wet. What if we only have a pair of socks for tourist stay ? 3) after check out multiple phone calls was made to our mobile and was told item teaspoon was missing in the room. And if they cannot find it they will raise a charge on our credit card ??? We called back 5 times to ask n follow-up and wasted 30
Mins of our morning to ask if item was found . We even informed it was on the basin area. Wrong procedure as in general all check out reception staff would contact chambermaid to ask if minibar and items were intact before letting the guest check out . The reception lady were having an aloft attitude and said we could go and we even have to ask for car parking coupon and were directed to fill in the form . This make us beg for service instead and please train your staff to check the items before check out and not making irritating calls and that spoil our rest of the day with 5 international calls made to assist them for a teaspoon costs of CNY20!!! Disgusting service . Please train your staff !!!"

"The location is near the train station. If you drive a car, you can park it downstairs, but it’s really hard to find the parking entrance. We did not manage to find it. The hotel service was nice, and they took us to the parking lot later to show us where it is. Otherwise, it’s easy to locate the hotel from outside. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was not working, and the person who could fix it was not there since it was late. Therefore, we connected to the other room’s WiFi but the connection was not good. The bed was a bit short for a tall person."

"Nice , upmarket hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Shower wasn't properly sealed and let water out in the bathroom which was a bit annoying. The hotel has a good gym and swimming pool. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed for one out of our two day stay because they had to clean it and they didn't let us know in advance which was annoying too. Good breakfast"

"It is the best budget hotel I ever stayed in. The location is perfect for those taking the train to Lhasa or a day trip using the public buses. This hotel has rooms only on the eleventh floor with a small reception on the ground floor and a small tea room for breakfast. All the other rooms I guess are for the hotel next to it that costs more. The room has a great shower and is extremely clean with a hardwood floor. No TV or free entertainment channels but it can mirror your phone to screen."

"Great room and location. Very close to the railway station and 5 minutes drive from the night market.
The bed is very comfortable and the room is very spacious.
The only negative point is that it's written that the hotel offers western and chinese style breakfast, but they only have chinese type. The quality of the breakfast was good, but we expected also for more diversity as that is what they offer here."

"It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Campanile hotel in Xining! From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed. Despite my early arrival, the staff, especially Marie, Xiaojing, and Xiaoma, were so kind and accommodating, allowing me to check in without any hassle.
The thoughtful touches throughout my stay truly made it exceptional. The welcome fruits upon arrival were a lovely surprise, and the complimentary breakfast was a fantastic start to the day. My room was not only sparkling clean and incredibly comfortable but also offered a great view of the city – a real treat!
What truly sets the Campanile apart is the exceptional service. Marie, Xiaojing, and Xiaoma were always ready to assist with a smile, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The added bonus of free laundry facilities was also incredibly convenient.

"The front desk staff of the hotel called us before we arrived at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk's service attitude was also very warm. The room also gave fruit and yoghurt. "The rooms are gorgeous - really nicely decorated with lovely comfortable beds. The staff are also exceptionally helpful. Xiaotian from the Guest Service Center very efficiently located an item we had left and arranged to have it mailed on. The doormen were also very willing to help with bags and help with communicating with taxis. We loved our stay here."

TTravelfreeGood hotel, very modern and clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful. For the price it's great.
However, we couldn't enjoy the breakfast much as it starts at 7:30, which is already fairly late for a hotel, and by 7:40 not even half of the breakfast was prepared and we had to leave, would have liked to try it especially considering it was included in the room and what we ate of it was fairly tasty.
The curtain behind the bathtub doesnt sit in line with the wall so there is a bright light throughout the night from outside.
The hotel was a bit difficult to find especially finding the Correct parking area for the building.
The elevators are shared elevators and took over 10 minutes to go up to the 25th floor . And took 5 minutes of waiting to go down one floor to the reception, before we decided to take the stairs(which are very dirty)
Apart from the above the hotel was very good and comfortable, clothes washing facilities were clean, coffee in the reception, and a cool fish tank along with very friendly helpful staff.

EEllipseGood locale. Service staff excellent! Breakfast spread worth the value. Hotel changes their menu and not repeat all the same items.
However they should look into the coffee bean maker as it was really slow to churn out a good cup of coffee! Could be that the piping needs to be checked or even cleaned out!?
Overall, it was a good experience. Hallway to the rooms lighting uses sensor, which perhaps need to be adjusted, as it requires heavy stomping of the feet to light up. Thanks!

The price was also excellent value for money.
My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue.
I checked in around 7am and was shown my room.
It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window,
and it also had a freestanding bath.
Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels.
I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one .
This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again.
The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet.
The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive.
Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China..
I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away.
The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet.
I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining.

JJamesHarrisI will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

MMisafir KullanıcıExcellent location close to shopping and subway, heart of town. The lovely staff especially the housekeeping team at Floor 9B and the courteous and helpful staff at the restaurant. We loved the complimentary tea breaks and 银耳汤 and did lots of laundry as they thoughtfully provided 3 machines and a dryer in their laundry room. We had just spent 8 dusty days travelling Qinghai and Gansu so this amenity is such a blessing before we continue our journey to Shanghai.
What I didnt like was that the hotel was located in a building shared with a few other hotels and lots of offices so the lift has lots of other people sharing and somehow isnt private and is slow. Also to hail a cab, you need to go out to the main road because the building has no driveway.
But for the price we pay, the value way exceeds the cons.

Tthe_wanderlust_jellyWas told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance.
However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated.
Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea.
Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

The staff are friendly. We got the room with the beautiful mountain view.

MMisafir KullanıcıThis is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.

⭐️The room was clean and equipped.
⭐️Perfect location, easy transportation.
⭐️Staff is extremely kind and helpful.
😉Breakfast room gets crowded, however we were promptly informed at check in and given options to get food from the buffet and eat it elsewhere.
Note: we only had breakfast at the hotel once and we were able to find seats and food. We usually left the hotel before breakfast for our excursions.
😕Elevators get crowded at rush hours, which might mean long waiting time.
😕Individuals smoking in common area.
❗️Those two points are not really due to hotel management, since the building hosts several other businesses. For this same reason, hygiene standards in the common areas are not up to rooms’ standards. It was not a big deal for us at all.
It is a good choice for active travelers!

Bbebou around the worldWe found the hotel easily. The lobby seems to be shared with another hotel. Check-in was possible even late at night. The reception staff upgraded us into a room with a window which was nice. The room in itself is small but functional. The bed is small but comfy. The TV worked well. There's a laundry room that you can use for free but the dryer mode doesn't work. The amenities are outdated and cleanliness is really not what you would expect. Our toilet seat was broken, the sink was dirty (we removed some stains with just water and toilet paper) and it was leaking. The walls have some very nasty stains on it and there's dust and stains on many things inside the room (bedside tables, fan, wardrobe, bedside lights, etc). One very annoying thing is that when you don't close your door properly, there's a loud alarm that quickly starts ringing. Unfortunately, when it's breakfast time, many people don't care and will leave that to ring until they come back, and it's very annoying. Breakfast is Chinese food only and not that great. Plus it is served in a very small room where there's definitely not enough space for everybody so you might have to wait. On the second day, housekeeping took our bath mat and didn't replace it, so we had to use another towel. On the third day, despite putting the ”do not disturb sign” on the door, housekeeping knocked several times until told that we didn't need anything. I mean it's nice of them, but the point of having the sign is not to be disturbed. Depending on when you take your shower, the water can be a bit dodgy (fine at night, but in the morning, it goes from burning to barely hot to burning again which can be annoying). The layout of the bathroom is weird as well as the toilet protrudes in the middle of the bathroom making it complicated to move around, exit the shower or even use the sink (especially since ours was leaking all over). Shower glass doors also don't close properly so lots of water is coming out. Our laundry string was broken so we had to find another way to dry our laundry.
I think it's important to note as well that as foreigners, we have been followed to our door by some other guests, and were stared at by others until we entered our room and closed the door which didn't feel safe for my girlfriend.
All in all, if you don't care about cleanliness, then it's ok as it's well located.
