"The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated! For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view! I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation. I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Spirited Silky Hotel. The location is excellent, right near the South Gate of Dali Old City. The building is exceptionally beautiful, full of atmosphere and traditional charm. The breakfast was delicious. The reception staff were very kind, helpful, and enthusiastic in solving any issues. "I recently spent five nights (four days) at this wonderful property, and overall, it was an outstanding experience. The Hospitality The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the host. He was incredibly hospitable and always on hand to assist us at a moment's notice. Whether we needed extra amenities or a quick replacement for something in the room, he dealt with it immediately. Furthermore, his local knowledge was invaluable; he provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining, and he went above and beyond to help resolve a few personal issues we encountered during our trip. The Location The location is perfect—smack-bang in the middle of everything. Because it is so centrally located, you have attractions to both the left and the right, meaning nothing is ever too far away. It serves as a brilliant base for exploring the area. Points to Note While I would still give this stay a full 10/10, there are a few things to be aware of: Noise Levels: Due to the stunning views, the property is quite exposed to the sounds of the local traffic and passing cruises. There was also some ongoing construction noise nearby, which is understandable given the area's development, but it’s worth noting if you are a light sleeper. Facilities: The laundry facilities are a bit limited, with only one small washing machine available. A couple more machines would definitely be a welcome addition for guests . Summary Despite the minor noise issues, the place is absolutely awesome. The warmth of the host and the convenience of the location far outweigh any downsides. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!"

"Just got back from an amazing stay at the Pullman Dali ! First off, the views of Erhai Lake are incredible. Waking up to that every morning was worth the trip alone. The hotel is super modern and everything was spotlessly clean—our room felt like a perfect, comfortable retreat. But the real highlight was the service. A huge shoutout to our room assistant, Tracy! She was so attentive and helpful. For two days, she was basically my personal ”Ask Me Anything” guide for the hotel and Dali. Need a restaurant tip? Ask Tracy. How to work the lights? Tracy knows. Extra pillows? Tracy's on it. She answered every single question and made everything so easy and smooth. If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable hotel with stunning views and staff who genuinely make your stay better, this is it. Thanks especially to Tracy for making our trip so special! "This hotel is truly designed for photography lovers. From the stunning views to the thoughtfully placed props around the property, every corner felt intentional and perfect for taking photos. It’s a fun and unique experience, especially if you enjoy capturing memorable moments during your travels. One great perk was the discount at the hotel restaurant for dinner, which made it easy to dine on-site. The food was really good and definitely worth trying, even without the discount. It added great value and convenience to the stay. The hotel also offers a photoshoot experience, which was a nice bonus. A few photos were included for free, with the option to purchase additional images if you wanted more—perfect for such a scenic setting. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we decided to stay an additional night in a different room, and it turned out to be excellent value for the price. The room was comfortable and well worth the cost. The staff were helpful, friendly, and very accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly and assisting us whenever needed. Overall, this is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a unique, photo-worthy hotel with great food, good value, and attentive service."

"The facility is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are gentle and helpful. As a foreign visitor, I felt completely at ease staying at this hotel. During my trip, I accidentally rented a lesser-known power bank outside and couldn’t find a place to return it. The staff kindly helped me locate a nearby return point and even brought me there to return it. The front desk is accessible 24 hours, which is very convenient."

"The receptionists were very friendly, and our stay was comfortable and pleasant throughout. We arrived quite late at night, around 11.10pm, and the receptionist kindly waited for us despite the reception officially closing at 11pm. He also helped to bring our luggages from the roadside to the hotel. We were truly grateful for their patience and thoughtfulness upon our arrival. The property is also home to three very cute and friendly cats roaming around the premises. They are incredibly approachable and definitely a delightful bonus for animal lovers. You can pet them to your heart’s content! The receptionists recommended a private hire driver who brought us to popular attractions for over nine hours. The driver was very friendly and helpful, ensuring that stall owners and roadside sellers did not overcharge us, which gave us great peace of mind. We were also recommended a halal mushroom hotpot nearby and it was truly delicious and comforting. :) Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly appreciated the attentive service and personal touches throughout our stay. Everything made us feel welcomed and well taken care of, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay."

"Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient. I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated. Perfectly located just a few metres from the entrance to Dali Old Town, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. Mengling Yayuan Hotel beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comfort, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its warm service and excellent facilities."
