"My favourite accommodation throughout our trip! The view is so amazing and the host was very very helpful. There are rows of food vendors just across our place and a large shopping mall, including walmart just 8mins didi ride away. Train station is conveniently located 10mins away. Btw if you’re taking didi to the station and it’s raining, do cater at least 15 mins for ride hailing."

"I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Dali. The hospitality was exceptional ! The owner and staff were always warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They offered great advice on getting around Dali and exploring the local highlights, which made my trip so much smoother and more memorable.
The Erhai Lake view from my room was simply spectacular. Waking up to such a beautiful scene every morning was the highlight of my stay. The hotel itself has a very welcoming atmosphere, and everything was well taken care of.
Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who will be visiting Dali!"

"I stayed in a double room with lake view and balcony. The room was spacious and clean with a view of Ethan Lake. Check in was fast. The breakfast buffet was decent but not exceptional. The gym was above average for a hotel gym. Room service is fast, but the selection is not extensive. The hotel has a spa but I opted not to go because the hotel disclaimed it as not operated by the hotel. The hotel is not walking distance to Dali Old Town. For touristing, there is a third party tour operator in the lobby that can set you up with a car and driver for a reasonable fee."

"the hotel is beautiful both in the common areas and in the room itself. the room is spacious and the toilet is huge. we got an upgrade during our stay. hotel has an life so no worries about handling your luggage. there are a lot of food options nearby and it is just off the street from the old town. about 15min walk will get you to the main old town spot.
the breakfast was delicious. a selection of cooked food and you can order noodles at the main desk. simple afternoon tea with a light snack. we did not get to use the hanfu experience but it is a nice bonus."

"Travel with friends total 6 people of us. We stayed at this homestays for one night. The homestays exceeded our expectations in term of service and location. It was a comfortable and hassle free experience. The location is perfect because the homestay is 5 minutes walk to Dali Ancient Town and foreigner street.
The room was modern, clean and can fix 6 people in one room. The owner and her husband were friendly and check in & check out was smooth. Her husband helped us carry and lift our begs to the homestays. This homestay also have service for pick up and drop off and the owner helped us to booked transport for pick up & drop off from Dali Railway Station to the homestay. The charges for transport are reasonable.
Overall, we had a great experiance and i’d recommeded this homestays for travelers who want comfort and convenience."

"My partner and I had the most amazing stay at this boutique B&B!
The host was welcoming and attentive! We wanted to have breakfast in our room, to enjoy the mountainous views, and she was more than happy to make that happen! The breakfast noodles were delicious, as well as the freshly baked flower cakes!
The room was very spacious, comfortable and had a fantastic, breathtaking view of the mountains! The patio balcony was perfect for enjoying the views and a good cup of tea!
My only suggestions is for the room to have a mini fridge for guests to use and store items such as their food or drinks, and some tea bags for the room!
Highly recommend! I’d absolutely stay here again!"

"What a view! So big, I booked 3 rooms, all very spacious, luxury feel. The breakfast was delicious, local cuisine. The surrounding is just amazing, lots of places for you to take photos. The lady owner was so friendly, easy to connect with. Everybody in the hotel was at your service. One of our room didn’t have water in the mini pool, because they’re so friendly I didn’t bother to ask them to fill it up.
They also have instant filter water station and bidet."

Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

XXNYLMy friend and I enjoyed our stay in the 'Yunxi 270° Seaview Terrace Double Bed Room' at Dali.Muxi Inn (大理木兮·半山Villa海景民宿). We found this hotel via reviews on XiaoHongShu and the room looked exactly like the stock photos. The hotel and room were beautiful, the hotel staff were very helpful, and we would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Dali and are looking for a hotel with an amazing view of Dali Erhai lake.
Number of nights of stay: 3 nights
Hotel location: The hotel is situated in a quiet but brightly lit residential/hotel estate at the end of winding uphill road (around the Dreamland/Santorini 圣托里尼大理理想邦 area), and is located about 20 minutes away from Dali Railway Station. The vehicle drop-off point is directly outside the hotel. The restaurants around the hotel close at about 8.30pm-9pm
Room: The 'Yunxi 270° Seaview Terrace Double Bed Room' is the only room located on the fifth floor. There is a lift in the hotel so it was convenient to transport our luggage. The room was perfect - it was really spacious, beautiful and clean. There was one king-sized bed, which was slightly too soft for my liking, but the pillows (one soft and one firmer memory foam pillow for each guest) were comfortable. There was a large living area with a sofa, three coffee tables and two additional chairs; balcony with two comfortable rocking chairs, a coffee table and a stunning view of the Erhai lake. The sky roof, when opened, was pretty in the daytime but it was difficult to see the stars at night due to the light pollution from the nearby buildings. The open concept wardrobe was large enough for us to hang our clothes
Bathroom: Two sinks, separate shower and toilet area, one jacuzzi. Toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner and body soap), disposable toothbrush/toothpaste, rubber bathroom slippers and disposable bedroom slippers were provided. The shower had both a handheld shower head and rain shower, with good water pressure and temperature
Hotel amenities: Complimentary breakfast (from 8.30am-10.30am; delicious spread of noodles with soup, porridge, fried egg, bread and vegetable platter) and afternoon tea (Lotus Biscoff biscuits, yoghurt, fruits and plums); cafe at the reception area is opened during office hours and only sells beverages; beautiful reception area with a friendly and gentle 5-year-old house cat; communal washing machine (free of charge, inclusive of laundry detergent)
Transfer: Free airport pick-up for this room type. No free pick-up from Dali railway station

MMisafir KullanıcıWe communicate through WeChat with the host prior to the stay and he kindly kindly helped to arrange a pick up from the railway station upon our arrival. He then waited to welcomed us at the drop-off point and assisted with our luggages. We were grateful that we got a free upgrade and upon entering the room, we were blown away by the scenic view of erhai lake! Even though the room is located in a condo apartment area, we had no problems putting a pin on the location when booking didi or *******. The bathroom/toilet amenities were one of the best that we’ve enjoyed throughout the trip as it not only comes with a huge bathtub (which was more than enough for 2 adults to enjoy together), but it also has modern furnishings such as automated bidet, massage spa shower, towel dryer rack and also disposables toiletries and towels 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

説來真是緣分，作為江蘇遊客來雲南旅行，本想隨便找個住處，卻意外發現了這家由西北退役軍人在大理古城旁經營的民宿，體驗遠超預期，必須全五星好評！
首先説住宿體驗，房間乾淨整潔到無可挑剔，床品柔軟舒適，設施齊全且用心，細節處都能感受到老闆的軍人作風——規整、利落、踏實。位置也很方便，步行古城幾分鐘，鬧中取靜，晚上睡得特別安穩。
最打動我的是老闆的人格魅力。西北漢子豪爽真誠，帶着軍人的正直與熱忱，主動為我們規劃路線、避坑建議，搬行李，主動服務，還分享了很多當地人才知道的小眾景點。早上甚至吃到了他老婆親手做的當地米線和西北風味早餐，那種粗獷背後的細膩讓人倍感温暖。
這家民宿不僅提供了歇腳的住所，更讓我感受到了跨越地域的真誠與信任。強烈推薦給所有來雲南的朋友——如果你也想體驗一把“軍民魚水情”，來玩的小姐姐安全感更是拉滿！住得放心、玩得開心，選這裏準沒錯！

Not only was the location amazing (the hotel overlooks the Erhai and Cangshan, making breakfasts and any meals eaten extremely picturesque and peaceful) but the staff was incredibly kind, doing everything they could to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. On the day of our arrival, a staff came to pick us up from the taxi and carried our luggage to the hotel, making sure we wouldn't get lost. On our last day, another staff member took us to the bus station, carrying our bags and waiting until the bus came to pick us up. The hotel is located just off the main street, still next to the main shopping area, but allowing for a more quiet and peaceful environment. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the furniture to the rooms to the plants. We would highly recommend coming to this hotel, and we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for making our trip so wonderful and welcoming, Cloud House! Appreciate you!!!

While there is some ongoing construction in front of the building that slightly affects the view, the surrounding scenery is still beautiful and calming. The cleanliness of the homestay was satisfactory, and it offers a good range of amenities. The kitchen, in particular, is well-equipped, making it a great option for families or groups of friends planning to cook and enjoy meals together. However, if you're simply traveling for leisure and don't plan to spend much time at the homestay, you may find the kitchen unnecessary. One thing to note is that there is no central air conditioning or heating system. The homestay provides a bed warmer (which works well) and a small air-conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedrooms can get quite chilly at night, especially during winter. It's something to consider if you're visiting during colder months. In terms of location, this homestay is ideal if you're looking to unwind in a quiet and restful environment. MMisafir KullanıcıThank you, we had a wonderful stay here so close to the Dali Ancient Town (only 1 minute away from the hotel). The hotel also organised a private tour to take my husband and I around Erhai and even helped us took lots of pretty photos when we were at Dali Santorini. The driver was very patient and recommended places to visit. The hotel room was very clean and very comfortable. They also prepared some bath salt and rose petals if I want to soak in a hot bath after a long day (and of course I did 😁🥰). The breakfast was nice, even gave us a bak chang because it was Dragon Boat Festival that day, so sweet of them. Staffs were very helpful, organised to pick us up and took us back to Dali Bullet Train station with no problem at all. I would definitely come back and stay here again if we visit Dali again.
谢谢你们，我们在这里住得非常愉快，酒店距离大理古城非常近（步行只需1分钟）。酒店还为我和丈夫安排了一个洱海私人包车游，带我们环湖一圈，还在“大理圣托里尼”帮我们拍了很多漂亮的照片。司机非常有耐心，还推荐了很多值得一游的景点。酒店房间非常干净舒适，还贴心地准备了浴盐和玫瑰花瓣，让我在一天的行程结束后可以泡个热水澡（当然我泡了😁🥰）。早餐也很不错，那天正好是端午节，他们还特别送了我们一个粽子，真的非常贴心。工作人员非常热情，还帮我们安排接送到大理高铁站，一切都很顺利。如果我们下次再来大理，我一定还会选择住在这里。

Room is perfectly clean, comfortable with outstanding Erhai lake view! Additional services we enjoyed was the complimentary daily night dessert soup and laundry services. Thumbs up for the quick response to our needs and enquiries too!
