"We stayed here for 2 nights. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, which set a positive tone for our stay. Special thanks to Sam the butler and another gentle an who was very helpful and attentive. Another gentleman, possibly the manager, was also very polite and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. The hotel lobby is spacious and smells great, creating a pleasant first impression. Our room was comfortable, with decent pillows and mattress. It also had various small items provided, but some had unclear functions—adding a bilingual guide would be very helpful for foreign guests. Housekeeping was quick and responsive. When we had an issue and called for help, we couldn’t speak Chinese, but someone came directly to our door to understand what we needed—this effort was very much appreciated. One area for improvement: the lady at the front desk when we checked in on 30 Apr should improve her customer service skills, especially when assisting international guests. Overall, a pleasant and welcoming stay with helpful staff and a few areas that could make the experience even better."

"The Zhongwei Green Lake Hotel is in a great location and is very well managed with regard to all aspects experienced. On arrival we could feel that there is some history attached to the building and I asked the staff if they had any relevant information to study. We were introduced to Jacky Zhang Can ”Chief Butler” who had worked in the hotel for 30 years. Jacky spent over 1 hour explaining the history and beautiful wood carvings, paintings and other items; he even took time to show us the small history museum which is a work in progress. During our stay we enjoyed afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. The hotel staff also realised it was Jingwen's birthday and two young ladies called Dani and Yuki attended our room with a birthday cake and flowers. Overall an excellent experience. Finally I will say this; at dinner I mentioned to Jingwen that you know it is a very good hotel especially when you have nothing to moan about."

"Perfect stay. The hotel is new, super clean, trendy interior. Staffs are nice, welcome and helpful. The location is 10 mins from railway station and Tangzixiang metro station, which directly can access to the airport. The only thing is soundproof of the room is a little off, you can hear sound from the corridor. Other than that this hotel is worth the money"

"The cleanliness and location of the hotel are good. We do not have a good stay at the hotel : We were assigned to the corner room where I thought it would be a quiet room. To my surprise , the cleaners were gathered (8 to 10 of them) around 7.15 am and talked loudly right beside the room, the noise was really unbearable that I have to wake up and tell them to keep quiet on my 2nd day morning. I think the hotel needs to educate the cleaners to be considerate and not to talk loudly early morning at the hotel premises. The sound proofing of the windows were quite poor, the noise from the school can be heard clearly in the morning. There are not much variety of breakfast, and it was served cold during the cold day. I do not think I would recommend this hotel to my friends."

"Let's start with the room and the location. Everything perfect. Nice and clean building and the rooms are really nice. I've been staying at this hotel every year since many years ago and unfortunately I've see the quality of the service getting worse and worse. This time it was the worst. Let me explain. First of all at the check-in counter the staff couldn't really speak English. Maybe I was unlucky, I don't know, but not a great start for an expensive international 5* hotel that it's not cheap. This hotel was very famous for having one if not THE best breakfast buffet in all Kunming. Now it was just a sad shadow of what it used to be. There's a small room called ”cheese room” where it used to be filled with cheese and cold cuts. Now the room is empty, just filled with decorations and two lonely plates with salami. The rest of the breakfast used to have international dishes and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was a feast. The morning I stayed it was pretty much all Chinese food, and the quality was bad too. Clearly not fresh and reheated for I don't know how many times. The staff didn't even come to ask which coffee I wanted when I arrived, something that has never happened in my previous stays. The Afternoon Tea and Apero Chic snacks available at the millesime club also has gotten worse. They don't replenish the dishes after they are finished and there aren't really that many dishes. Used to be much better a few years ago. Unfortunately I've seen this trend also in the previous years but this years is the worse. I'm used to staying in cheap Chinese hostels and I can easily adjust to any kind of accomodations but if you pay for a 5* hotel then you expect 5* service. Sad because everything else is really good."

Room with smart app xiaotu👍 Just a slight down point, at the 2nd day i asked for another room card, they didnt want to issue, but later they gave me, but still error when suddenly i had a stomachache and rushed to my room. But then they settled it and the card could be used."

"We arrived at 2am at Kunming Changshui Airport and driver had already sent me a WeChat msg asking to let him know after we collected our baggage. For travelers visiting Kunming for the first time, it’s best to let hotel know in advance that you need airport pickup one day in advance. We did that and it was seamless for us. The check-in was fast and the room was clean and quiet. It is common that guests could smoke in the rooms and this is something we are not quite used to. Overall, I’ll still give a big thumbs up for those considering to try out this hotel!"

"Great little spot at a convinent location. The pool always looks like it would be fun but its never open when we have time to go. Anyway, still a good chice for that area. They three bed room is huge and a good option for a big family."
