"Very modern Japanese hotel. It is quite new as it is refurbished 2 years ago. Very clean and the onsen in the hotel is very modern. They offer another onsen which is opposite the hotel, which is much bigger but older. Room is small but adequate enough with everything supplied. Free parking and outside is the bus stop for those taking public bus. Overall hotel is great but abit pricy."

"The service was excellent. The hot springs were very enjoyable. They have different types of hotsprings (regular, carbonic acid, cold). The food was excellent. We were stuffed. The portion was huge and the variety was wide.  Hygiene was great. The room was spotless and the balcony was very romantic under the moon light. Well worth the money."

"還是不錯的民宿，準確説是青旅，日式老房子，木地板和榻榻米。 圖1-8都是公眾場所，夜晚一羣西方年輕人穿着和服圍爐喝酒侃大山，旁邊看看也蠻有趣的，喜歡這氛圍的可以加入。 全部是公共衞生間，我們住的雙人間，房間比較簡陋的，倒也沒有很不方便。還有上下鋪的和多人間。因為週末箱根一房難求，各種類型的酒店都訂光了，這價格湊合一晚還是可以的。 雖然這家沒有温泉，可以去附近別的地方泡。 地點就在雕刻之森美術館隔壁，門口就有公交車。對面是箱根中學校，房間窗户看出去剛好一羣學生經過。 箱根是特別美的地方，也是此次日本行最難忘的地方！"

"Dear Hotel Team, I did not want to make these points of criticism public and therefore sent you an email on September 16, 2025. Since I have not received any response by October 1, 2025, I am now publishing my points of criticism. Thank you very much for hosting us from September 14 to 16 2025. Your service is so attentive and friendly - it was consistently perfect. Unfortunately, we experienced many shortcomings that I would like to point out to you. The room, unfortunately, was not clean. The sink siphon is yellow, and the bathtub on the balcony is full of residue from the thermal water. We found hair everywhere: on the floor, the bed, and the couch. I would expect a different hygiene standard in a 5-star hotel. The bed linen seemed old and had frayed edges and loose threads sticking out. It did not feel inviting to sleep in. On the terrace, the hanging chair had a hole that looked like it was caused by a cigarette. The wooden surfaces in the room showed a lot of wear and damage in many areas. Simply touching them up with a suitable marker or paint would already make them look newer and more high-quality. At the buffet, the water glasses were unfortunately very small. In the summer heat, I had to fetch four rounds of two glasses each at dinner to stay sufficiently hydrated. At the first breakfast, I got a cappuccino from the coffee machine. No milk came out, even though a staff member had just refilled it, and the remaining coffee tasted strongly of cleaning agent. The taste lingered in my mouth until the evening. I only took one sip and didn’t want to drink any more. On the first night, I was woken up by irregular beeping in the room. After a long search, I identified the safe as the source. The safe was irregularly entering codes on its own without any input. I tried to open it with my PIN - since our laptops were locked inside - but I couldn’t open it anymore. The error HOLD03 appeared, so I wanted to wait the three minutes for a new PIN entry. In the meantime, the safe entered codes again by itself and reactivated the HOLD03 timer. Luckily, I found a three-minute phase when the safe didn’t make an input on its own, and I was able to open it with my PIN. Out of lack of trust, I didn’t lock the laptops in the safe again. I kindly ask you to have the safe serviced and the defect repaired. Because of this, I unfortunately slept poorly and with the hygiene issues and the problems at the buffet, the overall stay was not enjoyable. A single problem would not make the stay worse, but the accumulation of issues put us off and does not correspond to a 5-star hotel charging ¥80,000 per night for a simple double room. I hope my feedback helps you and wish that you can resolve the problems easily and cost-effectively. Your service is on such a high level, and we truly appreciate that. Best regards"

"Reception staff was excellent and courteous. Breakfast very limited and no variety. Had lot of difficulty in communication because of language barrier. Rooms looked tired and old in urgent need of renovation and upgrading. Toilet flush system didn’t work properly and sign posted as push the handle down hard. Shower control at ankle level and very old. How do the hotel expect guests to bend down to adjust the flow and temperature .  Room was not the worth money charged. Will not recommend to family or friends"

"Rooms are tidy and clean.  The staffs at restaurants are very good especially the grill serving our table.  She is from Taiwan and her name pronounce  “Q”? She is very detail and caring, very nice and pleasant. We stayed 2 nights, the dinner and breakfast menu are different and both are delicious!"

"A very pleasant visit to kind, simple and peaceful people. I like a lot the location of the homestay, out of the center, up hill, need to move your ass to reach it. The hottest onsen I’ve been haha but also the most comfy as it’s private. I miss Rum already, what a nice dog, same as all the staff. A really worthy stop in Hakone with local people who feel real in an area full of tourism. Thanks a lot for taking care of my bags after my check in, those gestures are the ones that really count!"

"Trying to find this hotel was the first challenge. It was a really hot and sunny day and we walked from the train station. There was no signpost to the hotel nor any hotel sign on the road that runs by the back and top of the hotel. We ended up going to the roof of the hotel to find someone to ask when we noticed an elevator going to the ground floor and found the hotel checkin lobby by complete accident than design. Just a simple sign and this would have solved the hot frustrating and annoying walk back and forth up and down a hill in the heat!! The room though had a wonderful view and despite the very old look and feel of the hotel, it was comfortable. /the door doesn't close and lock which led to some kids wandering into our room by mistake but was a shock all the same. For what the hotel was, it was not worth the money but all the same it was a pleasant stay. The town of Atami seemed to go to sleep by 9pm, in fact we struggled to get dinner at the hotel or outside at 8:00 in the evening and the bar charged us to sit down at a. table! Wow, not used to that at all anywhere in the world! We won't be back but that is more for the town than the hotel!"

"The hotel is a short 1km walk from the local train station. The onsen uses natural volcanic spring water and is of very high quality. There is a private onsen available if you ask for the key, however the public bath was empty every time I visted. The room was large, clean, and very relaxing. The dinner was fancy, but had mild flavours. It was not our favourite meal. I was still hungry afterwards, but there was no more food available. There was free alcohol from 9pm to 10pm, but it was of poor quality. The staff were always very kind and helpful."

"在箱根找酒店，看重的的是温泉，畢竟第一次帶孩子來，希望可以有個全新的體驗，在攜程看了很多家，最後咬咬牙定了仙景，看上了露天温泉和榻榻米風格的床鋪 1. 地址：電車下來需要走一段路，好在一路上有很多小點，上坡路上風景也不錯，走走停停也就很快走到了 2. 酒店接待：辦理入住時候是一個日本紳士，能講簡單英語，因為到的早，就先辦理入住手續並寄存了行李，並詢問我們鋪榻榻米的時間和第二天早餐時間，本來想預訂一下晚餐，結果被告知當天來不及了。我們回酒店時候接待我們的是一位中國女士，特別熱情，不僅給弟弟拿了小的洗漱套裝，而且還到房間詳細介紹了露天温泉的位置，使用時間，房間內電器操作等。 3. 房間：榻榻米的床鋪，典型的傳統日式風格，裏面有個可以加熱的桌子，也是日本家庭常用的那種，腿放在裏面很舒服。睡榻榻米還蠻暖和的，一點都不硬。浴室和廁所乾濕分離，乾乾淨淨。唯一的不足是空調不給力，就算開到30度，房間還是冷冷的，之前看到另外一條評論，也是説冬季偏冷。 4.湯：有露天湯和室內湯兩種。露天湯衹有一個，需要男女分時段；室內湯是男女單獨，任何時間都可以用。兩個湯都是**，典型日本風格。露天湯不大，温度適宜，很安靜，本來想第二天早上再去，發現上午時間段都是男士的，這個組合不太好（因為前一天晚上最後時段也是男士）。室內湯我沒有去嘗試，有點小後悔。 5早餐：早餐就在門口的小餐廳，給的是set形式，一人一份，葷素搭配類型，中規中矩的，那個冷的雞蛋孩子們吃不慣，其他都還OK 6. 最後説説價格：2600+一個晚上，真的非常不便宜，應該是節假日➕我定酒店訂的晚，所以先疼一把，以後一定要及早預訂。"
