"The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated! For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view! I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation. I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali."

"I recently spent five nights (four days) at this wonderful property, and overall, it was an outstanding experience. The Hospitality The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the host. He was incredibly hospitable and always on hand to assist us at a moment's notice. Whether we needed extra amenities or a quick replacement for something in the room, he dealt with it immediately. Furthermore, his local knowledge was invaluable; he provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining, and he went above and beyond to help resolve a few personal issues we encountered during our trip. The Location The location is perfect—smack-bang in the middle of everything. Because it is so centrally located, you have attractions to both the left and the right, meaning nothing is ever too far away. It serves as a brilliant base for exploring the area. Points to Note While I would still give this stay a full 10/10, there are a few things to be aware of: Noise Levels: Due to the stunning views, the property is quite exposed to the sounds of the local traffic and passing cruises. There was also some ongoing construction noise nearby, which is understandable given the area's development, but it’s worth noting if you are a light sleeper. Facilities: The laundry facilities are a bit limited, with only one small washing machine available. A couple more machines would definitely be a welcome addition for guests . Summary Despite the minor noise issues, the place is absolutely awesome. The warmth of the host and the convenience of the location far outweigh any downsides. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!"

"I had a soothing and comfortable short stay at 山隅一舍. The staff was very personable, accommodating, and kind, proactively offering tea/coffee and prepared fruit. The room was clean and had a great view of the courtyard. At check-in, she even offered to upgrade the two-bed room I had booked to a room with a single larger bed but I was happy to stay in the original room as it was already prepared. I stillfound it to be a very thoughtful offer. The beds were also equipped with heating mats, which offered great sleep in the winter weather. The neighbors have some roosters that rise early, but I found it quite charming and fitting for the “out of the big city” ambiance. I could honestly just sit in the courtyard all day watching the cat and the fish. It was truly a tranquil oasis in a town that sees many domestic and international tourists. The breakfast also tasted clean, fresh, and was promptly prepared by the host when I woke up. She was also happy to offer recommendations to both myself and other guests (I even overheard her going the extra mile, offering to pickup pastries for the other guests to try at their request). The B&B is situated very close to the ancient town without being overwhelming, which although quite commercialized, is still a fun stroll since it’s nearby. The location is also a short DiDi ride away from many sights along Erhai Lake. Dali is full of independently-run accommodations and shops like this, but this one stood out for its great hospitality and soothing environment. The cost performance was also great. A hidden gem for sure!"

"This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again."

"The receptionists were very friendly, and our stay was comfortable and pleasant throughout. We arrived quite late at night, around 11.10pm, and the receptionist kindly waited for us despite the reception officially closing at 11pm. He also helped to bring our luggages from the roadside to the hotel. We were truly grateful for their patience and thoughtfulness upon our arrival. The property is also home to three very cute and friendly cats roaming around the premises. They are incredibly approachable and definitely a delightful bonus for animal lovers. You can pet them to your heart’s content! The receptionists recommended a private hire driver who brought us to popular attractions for over nine hours. The driver was very friendly and helpful, ensuring that stall owners and roadside sellers did not overcharge us, which gave us great peace of mind. We were also recommended a halal mushroom hotpot nearby and it was truly delicious and comforting. :) Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly appreciated the attentive service and personal touches throughout our stay. Everything made us feel welcomed and well taken care of, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay."

"A slice of modern heaven in the ancient city of Dali. Just off the main road in the heart of bustling crowds, this property will wish you had booked longer. It seems like a mix of modern Dutch style while keeping the traditional Chinese element. The hospitality is second to none with personalization and caring as if you are at a 5 star resort. Everything is new, fresh and clean. The library is a comfortable place to relax with a book, looking out into the garden and watching the koi fish. It rained over night and the pitter patter seemed to be a design to help slept to the sound. The only recommendation I would make is to have the path way to the hotel more lighted as it is dark when returning to the hotel. They even reserved our charter to Lijiang and cared for us at dinner. Can't wait to come back. Thank You!"

"Excellent stay in Honglongjing hotel. Nested in the heart of Dali ancient town, you will experience Dali's vibrant atmosphere and bustling streets. The hotel's service is impeccable. Service was prompt and we were treated to Chinese tea ceremony. The villa rooms were very spotless. The only downside was the road closures around the ancient town. This made it difficult to get to the hotel with luggage. You need a 5-10 min walk to get to the hotel as buses and cars are not allowed in the ancient town. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience"

"Honglinge Inn is a cozy and clean place located right inside Dali Ancient Town. The location is very convenient for exploring nearby shops and attractions. The room was comfortable, and the host was friendly and helpful. A good choice for travelers looking for a simple and pleasant stay."
